FAIRFIELD, CT - Senior defensive lineman Odain Mitchell (Bridgeport, CT) became the first two-time Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week today, after his dominating performance against Central Connecticut State on Saturday.

Mitchell collected eight tackles, six of them solo stops, forced a fumble and intercepted a pass that set up the first touchdown of the day for the Pioneers in their 17-3 victory. He also had a pair of quarterback sacks to tie a school single-season record and raise his league-leading total to ten.

The Pioneers are back in action this Saturday at home against 6-2 Wagner College at 12:30 p.m.
