FAIRFIELD, CT - The Sacred Heart football team welcomes the Albany Great Danes to Campus Field on Saturday for a Family Weekend game at 1:00 p.m. The game will feature two special halftime presentations.

The first presentationwill be a 5th anniversary tribute to the undefeated and 1-AA mid-major national champion 2001 football team. The second will be a tribute to Eric Hernandez, a running back on the 2001 team who while serving as a member of the New York Police Department, was fatally shot and killed earlier this year. The University will honor Eric and his family by formally unveiling the Eric Hernandez Endowed Scholarship in his memory. This scholarship will benefit future football players at Sacred Heart University and the annual awards will be based on academics and community service.

Albany leads the all-time series between the schools, 6-2.
