Sacred Heart head football coach Paul Gorham and his staff have announced it will be hosting a one day developmental clinic this spring and a limited contact overnight camp this summer. The Pioneers would like to to invite any high school student entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2009 and their parents to Sacred Heart University Sunday, May 31st for a one day developmental football clinic. From June 23rd through 26th, Coach Gorham and his staff will be offering an extended day / overnight limited contact football camp.
Registration for the one day clinic will start at 8:30 AM on May 31st in the William H. Pitt Center lobby and the clinic will end approximately at 3:00 PM. The program for the day will consist of instructional drills, an orientation of the various academic programs here at Sacred Heart, lunch and a campus tour, as well as an opportunity for you to meet the Sacred Heart Football staff. This is a great way to get acquainted with the recruiting process and NCAA regulations, and showcase your abilities, as well as familiarize you with the Pioneer football program at Sacred Heart University.
This summer's football camp will feature limited contact drill and scrimmages with a staff of college coaches from Sacred Heart as well as other colleges. Campers will be divided according to age, weight and ability. The Individual Camp instruction (3 times a day) stresses both individual positions and team play with every camper.
