FAIRFIELD, CT - Post game Quotes- November 4, 2006 Home game vs. Central Connecticut State Campus Field
Head Coach Paul Gorham:
On what was expressed after the game: "There was a lot of disappointment and it made it worse that we were tied up [in the third quarter]."
On the two interceptions in the end zone: "They didn't score off either one, but from a team standpoint, it ended up being a negative thing. If you've watched us this whole year, you'd see a negative and it would result from a lack of opportunity."
On the Central Connecticut's pass rush: "They pressured [Arciaga] a lot in the first half, but I felt a lot less pressure in the second half."
On what needs to be worked on: "We need to work on our mindset. Its simple, you don't think games, you play games."
From Quarterback Tyler Arciaga:
On the fourth quarter meltdown: "Anytime you're tied with a good team, and then all of sudden find yourself down by 28, its disappointing and it kills any positive attitude that may have happened."
On the team's attitude: "We need to be positive, even now. When things are going badly, you think negative thoughts and then bad things happen over and over again."
Wide Receiver Joey Henley
On looking back at the game plan: "We said that if we were going to win this game, we would have to do it from the receiving end and the drops were big momentum builders for them."
On the penalties taken: "They were all big for them. They used them as momentum builders and it didn't work out where we got a call our way and then turned it into a score."
