Nowocin joins the Pioneer staff after spending the last two seasons at William and Mary. Prior to that he worked for a year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Virigina, where he worked extensively with the football program. He split his collegiate playing career as a running back and wide receiver between two schools, playing his first two seasons at Penn State and then completing his eligibility at Virginia. He was a member of the Nittany Lions first Big Ten squad, and help Virginia win an ACC Championship in 1995.
