Mitchell makes the move to the sideline this year, after completing a four-year career and anchoring the defensive line last season at defensive end. He saved his best for his senior year, setting the school record for sacks in a season with 16, and is also the career leader in that category with 27. Mitchell was named First Team All-NEC and was selected as a 1-AA Mid-Major All-American by the Football Gazette and Sports Network. Mitchell grew up in Bridgeport and played at Bridgeport Central High School. He will coach the defensive line for the Pioneers this season.
