• 2001 Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year

2001: Was named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season after compiling 93 tackles (44 solo). Returned two interceptions and a fumble for touchdowns. Was selected as a Football Gazette I-AA First Team All-American. Also named to the Sports Network I-AA Mid-Major All America team. Was named NEC Defensive Player of the Week twice. 2000: Registered a Sacred Heart record 129 tackles (57 solo) and was named the NEC Defensive Player of the Year.... Named to numerous post- season teams including first team All-NEC and Football Gazette I-AA team, All-ECAC Division I-AA second team and Associated Press (AP) Division I-AA third team.... Was named NEC Defensive Player of the Week after registering a team-high 13 tackles, including ten solo stops against CCSU (9/16/00). He also recorded three tackles-for-losses totaling -14 yards, two of which came on sacks for -13 yards....1999: As a freshman, he tallied an NEC single-season record 28 tackles-for-losses and accumulated 118 tackles to rank second in the conference. Personal: Son of Yemi and Samson Mayowa... Attended LaSalle Academy... Participated in RI-CT All-Star Game after senior season and was named game's defensive MVP... Business Administration major.
