Assistant Coach Bill Hambrecht joined the Pioneers in the spring of 2007 and will be on the sidelines for the first time under head coach Paul Gorham this fall. Hambrecht will handle the defensive line coaching duties for the Pioneers. Before coming to Sacred Heart, Hambrecht spent the 2006 season as a defensive graduate assistant coach at Duke University. While working with the Blue Devils he coached the inside linebackers and special teams while recruiting on the west coast. Hambrecht was a four-year letterwinner with stints at Rutgers University (2000-2001) and at Hofstra University (2002-2004). He spent the 2005 season working at St. Augustine Prep School in Richland, New Jersey where he taught physical education at the school while coaching the linebackers and running backs. He also served as the school's strength and conditioning coordinator. He currently resides Bridgeport, CT.
