The Sacred Heart University Department of Athletics announced the start of season ticket and Tailgate Village sales for the 2017 football season. The Pioneers are hosting five home games this season and season tickets and Tailgate Village passes provide fans access to the best seats and the fun of college football.
With the beginning of construction for the end zone facility, Tailgate Village will move to the Curtis Hall parking lot, adjacent to the Pitt Center. Season passes for Tailgate Village provides the closest reserved parking to Campus Field and an opportunity to fully enjoy the camaraderie of the college football experience.
The 2017 SHU football home opener on September 2nd is also National Tailgate Day. To celebrate, all season Tailgate Village registrants will be entered to win a Coleman Roadtrip Grill, in Pioneer red. The 20,000 BTU travel grill will be the perfect tailgating companion. All those that have purchased a season tailgate pass by August 30th will be entered into the September 1stdrawing and the winner will be presented their grill at Tailgate Village on September 2nd.
Season tickets remain $50 for adults for the 50-yard line, sections 6 and 7, seats on the home sideline of Campus Field. Single-game tickets in the padded seating sections are $15, providing a 33 percent savings to reserve the same great seat for all five Pioneer home games.
The Pioneers kickoff the 2017 campaign versus Stetson on September 2nd at 6 p.m. SHU hosts Central Connecticut State on September 30th, Dartmouth on October 14th, Duquesne on October 28th and Wagner on November 18th.
