The Head Coaches... The Pioneers will be led by second year head coach Mark Nofri in 2013. The Pioneers were 2-9 last season with Nofri serving as the interim head coach. Nofri is also the long time linebackers coach for the Pioneers, turning out several All-Conference and All-American linebackers including Jayson Jarrett '01, Kayode Mayowa '02, Craig Capurso '02, Jon Corto '06 and Chris Mandas '11. Joe Susan is in his fourth season as the Head Coach of the Bucknell Bison. In 2000, in his lone season as head coach, Susan led the Davidson Wildcats to a perfect 10-0 season and was named Division I-AA Coach of the Year.
Scouting the Bison… Bucknell is 1-1 thus far this season, having defeated the Marist Red Foxes 27-14 in their opener and then falling 45-13 to Cornell this past Saturday. Bucknell thrives on running the ball and stopping the run. The Bison are tops in the country in stopping the run, giving up a paltry 28 rushing yards per game. Bucknell went 3-8 last season, 0-5 in the Patriot League.
