FAIRFIELD, CT - Dan Convery-Zupan led three Pioneer fencers in acheiving all Northeast Fencing Conference status this season. He earned first team status in foil, having the second best record in the league (20-6).

Joining Convery-Zupan and earning second team honors were team captain Lucas Bernacki in foil and epee squad captain Charles Thompson. Their performances led the Pioneers to a 4-5 record which earned them a regular season tie for fifth place in this highly competitive league.

"These fencers did a fantastic job this year" comments head coach Dr. Tom Vrabel. "Despite several injuries that had many of our top fencers either out of competition or fencing hurt the team did quite well". "I am very happy for Dan, Luc and Chaz.We look forward to carrying this success into the league tournament". The Pioneer fencers are back in action on Saturday, Feb 24th at the conference tournament at MIT.
