Pioneers Go 5-0 Saturday - Win the Northeast Fencing Conference Championship

The Sacred Heart men's fencing team completed a perfect 10-0 season sweep of the Northeast Intercollegiate Fencing Conference (NEIFC) schedule with a five-victory day at Tufts on Saturday. The Pioneers defeated Dartmouth 20-7, Tufts 22-5, UMass 24-3, Boston College 17-10 and Vassar 15-12 to win the undisputed championship in only their fourth year in conference competition. [+]

The Pioneer men's traveled to Manhattan on Wednesday to face perennial powers Columbia and NYU. In what was arguably the best result in the program's history, the Pioneers defeated both schools - Columbia 15-12 and NYU 14-13. [+]

Pioneers fall to Yale 16-11

The Pioneer men's traveled to Yale Saturday afternoon to face the Bulldogs. Despite a strong effort, Sacred Heart lost to a much-improved Yale squad 16-11. The epee squad went 6-3 on the day, led by perfect records from sophomores Justin Dion and Nick Negron. [+]
