NEW YORK, NY - Sean McGeveran had a great night, going 4-2 in action in Manhattan last night. Despite his heroics, the Pioneers lost to NYU 20-6 and Ivy League Champions Columbia 20-7.

The team was hurt by the absence from the line up of epee squad captain Charlie Thompson, who sprained his ankle during warm up.

"The Columbia match was a big step forward for us," said Head Coach Dr. Tom Vrabel. "Last year we did not win a single bout in this match , and this year we did better than half of the Ivy League did against them. Sean was real sharp tonight. He looks to be ready to have a very successful League Championships this weekend."

The team is back in action on Sunday at Dartmouth for the NEIFC Championships.
