FAIRFIELD, CT - Four Pioneer fencers had undefeated afternoons, but the Sacred Heart men's fencing team dropped a tough 14-13 decision to the University of Massachusetts Sunday afternoon.

Senior Jay Egan led the Pioneer effort in the match, finishing a perfect 3-0. Sophomores Alex Bente and Ken Herbert were also spotless against the Minutemen. Freshman Lucas Bernacki also finished undefeated.

The loss dropped the Pioneers to 1-3 this season.
