Men's Fencing Competes at NCAA Regionals

WALTHAM, Mass.— The Sacred Heart University men's fencing team sent seven fencers to compete at the 2018 NCAA Northeast Regional at Brandeis University.

Dante Centeno was the top Pioneers finisher taking 14th in the men's epee event. Centeno advanced to round three of pool play, finishing 7-5 in his two rounds. Troy Kapitzke finished 21st in the epee event going 3-9 in pool play. Nicolo Cerminara and Ian Senerth were 31st and 35th respectively in the epee.

In the men's foil event, Julian Mallet was SHU's top finisher in 25th place, going 2-4 in his lone round of pool play. Lucas Wetmore and Stephen Clarke finished 33rd and 35th in the event.
