Men’s Fencing Goes 3-2 On First Day Of NFC Competition

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Sacred Heart men's fencing team went 3-2 on the first day of Northeast Fencing Conference competition at MIT Saturday.

The Pioneers earned a 14-13 win over the hosts of MIT, as well as a 26-1 win over New Hampshire and a 16-11 win over Brown. The two SHU losses came against Boston College 19-8 and Brandeis 16-11.

Tyler Endee had a nearly perfect day, going 14-1 in foil. James Turner was 10-5 in foil as well. The epee duo of Dante Centeno and Cody Richard were 13-2 and 11-4 respectively.

Sacred Heart hosts the Tradition Tournament on Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Pitt Center.
