BRATTLEBORO, VT - Sacred Heart competed in the ACU-I region 1 finals on Sunday at Brattleboro Bowl in Vermont and the Pioneer women's bowling team had another good day. On a tough, flat sport pattern, four players averaged over 180 and Sacred Heart finished first with 8365 for nine team games.

Senior Chrissy Rockett out averaged the field by quite a bit with a fantastic 201 average for 9 games. By winning the all-events title, she earns the right to represent New England in the ACU-I singles championships in Reno on May 8-11. Sophomore Erin Gore was runner-up with a 188 average followed by sophomore Nicole Peloquin with 182. Nicole Peloquin won singles with a 609 3-game series.

The men's team finished second with 7727 behind Western New England College's 8219. Freshman Dan Dabkowski led the Pioneers with a 188 average for nine games on the demanding sport shot.
