Final Stats

FAIRFIELD, CT - Senior A.J. Jackson recorded a double-double with a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead Robert Morris University to an 82-69 win over Sacred Heart University Thursday night. The win clinched the top seed in the upcoming Northeast Conference tournament for Robert Morris, and assured the Pioneers of the #3 seed.

Robert Morris, 24-6 overall and 15-2 in the conference, also got a double-double from senior guard Jeremy Chappell with 19 points and ten boards. Tony Lee also finished in double figures with 12 points.

Sacred Heart, 16-12 and 13-4, was led by sophomore Chauncey Hardy with 14 points. SHU's loss, combined with Central Connecticut's loss to Quinnipiac tonight, means SHU and CCSU will face each other in the first round of the NEC tournament. That game will be played in the Pitt Center on March 6 at 7 p.m.
