Boston College: Walk-on for head coach Al Skinner. Appeared in 16 games over two seasons. Had career-bests of two points and three rebounds in a win over Seton Hall on 1/17/04.
High School: Lettered in basketball for four seasons and soccer for one year at Seattle Prep. Was a two-year captain of the basketball team and was named All-Metro his senior year. Led his team to the Washington State 3A championship in 2000. Was a four-year honor roll student.
Personal: Son of Lou and Patricia Hobson. Has two sisters, Tanya and Deanna, and a brother, Louis, Jr. Favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys. Favorite athletes are Michael Jordan and Isaiah Thomas. Favorite book is The Invisible Man. Favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption and he enjoys hip-hop music. He considers his father his role models because "he has taught me to stand away from the crowd and rise above adversity." Would like to have dinner with Jesus Christ, "because his existence has impacted our lives more than any other single individual."
