Setting the Scene... With 2013 in the rear-view, the Sacred Heart men's basketball team begins the new year with a trip to New Hampshire to take on the UNH Wildcats at Lundholm Gym Saturday afternoon. Sacred Heart is looking to snap a six game losing streak after dropping all four games on a west coast trip that included match-ups with Santa Clara, UNLV, Radford and Florida A&M. The Pioneers will take on a New Hampshire team that has lost ten consecutive games after starting the season 2-0. The Wildcats have not been victorious since they defeated Duquesne on November 13th.

Last Time Out... The Pioneers shot 35.5 percent from the field in a 75-70 loss to Florida A&M in the final game of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Junior Steve Glowiak (New Britain, CT) led Sacred Heart in scoring, putting in 19 points on 6-of-17 shooting, while Chris Evans (Stamford, CT) added 18, going 12-15 from the free throw line. Off the bench, freshman De'Von Barnett (Waldorf, MD) scored a career-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Junior point guard Phil Gaetano (Wallingford) added a couple three-pointers and dished out 10 assists.
