Setting the Scene... Fresh off its first win of the season on Saturday, the Sacred Heart (1-4) men's basketball team travels to Boston College (2-4) for a Tuesday night showdown at Conte Forum. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. with the game being televised on ESPN3.
Last Time Out... The Pioneers shot 59.1% from the field on Saturday to pull away from Fordham and win 85-73 at Rose Hill Gym. The win was head coach Anthony Latina's first on the Sacred Heart bench. Louis Montes and Tevin Falzon both had double-doubles. Each player had a team-high 16 points, with Montes pulling down 13 rebounds and Falzon adding 10 boards.
Boston College Series Notes... The Eagles lead the overall series with the Pioneers. 6-0.

Latina Notches First Career Win... Head Coach Anthony Latina earned his first career win as the Pioneers' floor boss Saturday, as Sacred Heart defeated Fordham 85-73. The Pioneers shot 59.1% from the field in the second half to build on a two-point halftime lead.
Montes and Falzon Double-Double Up... Louis Montes and Tevin Falzon both had double-doubles in Sacred Heart's win at Fordham last Saturday. Each player scored 16 points with Montes adding a game-high 13 rebounds. Falzon pulled down 10 boards. The last time Sacred Heart had two players record double-doubles was Feb. 23, 2013 when Montes and Shane Gibson both had 14 points and 10 rebounds in an 80-72 loss to Central Connecticut. Falzon's double-double is the first in his career, with his 16 points a career-high.
Kelley Among NEC Scoring Leaders... Evan Kelley has scored in double-figures in each of the last four games, scoring 12 points at Fordham on Saturday. Kelley is fifth in the Northeast Conference in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game. He is also second in the NEC in steals with 2.0 per game. Kelley leads Sacred Heart in scoring, steals, and field goal percentage (48.6%).
Montes Moving Towards 1,000 Career Points... After being held scoreless at Yale, senior forward Louis Montes scored a team-high 16 points Saturday at Fordham with 13 rebounds. Montes is now at 954 career points, 46 away from 1,000. So far this season, Montes is averaging 15.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
Scouting Boston College... The Eagles enter Tuesday's game with a record of 2-4 after beating Washington 89-78 in the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden on Friday. Joe Rahon led Boston College with 22 points. Olivier Hanlan added 20 points. The Eagles shot 55.9% from the field, jumping out to a 46-34 halftime lead. Through six games, Boston College is averaging 80.7 points per game and shooting 48% from the field. Hanlan leads the Eagles in scoring with 22.8 points per game. Ryan Anderson averages 17.5 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per game.
