FAIRFIELD, CT - Senior Adam Dinihanian (Stratford, CT) was named the Northeast Conference baseball Pitcher of the Week today, after a 2-0 record last week.

Dinihanian, who has been outstanding in league play this season, boosted Sacred Heart's playoff chances with key victories over two of the top teams in the conference last week. Dinihanian finished the week with a 2-0 mark and 2.25 earned run average.

On Wednesday, he tossed a complete-game eight-hitter as the Pioneers defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, 6-3. The righthander allowed only one earned run and struck out ten. Coming back on just three days rest, Dinihanian threw seven innings of five-hit ball in Sacred Heart's 6-4 victory over second place Quinnipiac to complete a three-game sweep. He yielded three runs on five hits, while fanning four. Dinihanian leads the Pioneers with a 5-1 record and 3.65 ERA. In outings against league competition, he is 4-0 and ranks fourth in the NEC with a 1.89 ERA.
