FAIRFIELD, CT - The Sacred Heart University Baseball program held a fundraising event at Daniel Street in Milford, CT on Thursday, January 22nd. The team band, The Educated Fools, played before a crowd comprised of teammates, coaches, administrators, staff, students, and friends. The event raised $1,500 for the program.

Two-sport athlete Steve Tedesco (Mission Viejo, CA) is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, fifth-year senior Jeff Hanson (Woodstock, NY) is lead guitarist, junior Adam Beliveau (Auburn, MA) plays the drums, and former SHU captain and coach, Chris Aldrich is the bassist.

The band played a combination of new and old covers as well as several original songs they have written. The highlight of the night was when head coach Nick Giaquinto made a guest appearance on harmonica during "Running Down the Dream" by Tom Petty.

"It was a great night all around - a fundraiser and a funraiser. The band is really good and all their hard work has paid off," said Giaquinto.
