BRIDGEPORT, CT - Junior Jason Maiella (N. Haledon, NJ) drove home three runs with a pair of doubles, while sophomore Jeff Hanson (Woodstock, NY) drove home two runs and had three hits to lead the Sacred Heart University baseball team to a 12-3 win over Iona College in a non-conference game Thursday afternoon.

Sacred Heart, 8-13 and winners of eight of the last ten, got seven strong innings on the hill by senior Mike Milazzo (Staten Island, NY). Milazzo allowed just two earned runs and six hits in his outing to earn his first win of the year.

Senior Dave Kaloyanides (Reading, MA) also had three hits for the Pioneers. Senior Tim Lantz (New Rochelle, NY) also had three hits and drove home a run.

James LaSala (New Rochelle, NY) led the Gaels with two of their seven hits. Nick Conte (Oceanside, NY) and Matt Callahan (Cornwall, NY) had an RBI each for the Gaels. The loss dropped Iona to 2-18.
