Final Stats

CLEARWATER, FL - Senior Rob Tencza pitched five strong innings, while Jeff Hanson and Pete Kandybowicz drove in a pair of runs each to lead the Sacred Heart University baseball team to a 6-3 win over St. Joseph's College Monday afternoon. The win evened the Pioneer's record at 3-3.

Tencza threw the first five innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out four and walked just one. Freshman Chris Zaccherio pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief and Chris Barthel came on to earn his first collegiate save by getting the final out.

Hanson had a pair of hits, including a double. Senior Bobby McKee also had two hits, including a triple, with one RBI and two runs scored. Kandybowicz drove home his two runs with a triple.
