Chuck Ristano is entering is first season as an assistant coach with the Pioneer baseball team. Ristano will work primarily with the pitching staff, but will also contribute to recruiting and academic advisement. Ristano graduated from Sacred Heart in 2004 with a degree in Sports Management. He returns to his alma mater after anchoring the pitching staff for his four seasons as a Pioneer. As a four-year starter, and two-year captain, Ristano ranks in the top 5 in every major statistical category for his career at SHU. In the summer of 2002, Ristano pitched for the ACBL champion, New Jersey Colts, and in 2003 he pitched for the Thread City Tides of the NECBL. This summer Ristano will serve as pitching coach for the New Bern River Rats in the Coastal Plain League, one of the nation's top collegiate summer leagues.
