SHU Baseball to Host Fundraiser at Citi Field
FAIRFIELD, Conn – It will be a night of world-class baseball, good food, and good company as the Sacred Heart baseball team has announced that it will be hosting a fundraiser at Citi Field on April 22nd. The event will be set in the "Mo-Zone", located on ground level in right field, as the New York Mets take on the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:10 pm.
Admission to the event is 125 dollars and will include a ticket to the game, unlimited food and drink, special prize drawings, and a meet and greet with Sacred Heart Executive Director of Athletics, Bobby Valentine. Sacred Heart head coach, Nick Giaquinto, who has led the Pioneers for the past 26 years, will also be in attendance.
All proceeds from this event will go towards the SHU baseball team. Sacred Heart has won three Northeast Conference Championships, including back-to-back titles in 2011 and 2012. The Pioneers have started 5-8 this season and will take on Cornell in a four-game series this weekend.
