  • Hunt Seat Named High Point Team At UCONN Showing

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian Hunt Seat Squad was named the High Point team of UCONN’s show this morning. The team tallied 38 points in the victory while Gabi Sorrentino and Cariann Johnson on qualified for Hunt Seat Regionals in Open Fences and Johnson also qualified in Open Flat. Also, Cariann Johnson was named the High Point Rider and Ellie Palmier was named Team MVP.
  • Western Places First and Second at Double-Header At UMASS-Amherst

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team wrapped up its Western Doubleheader on Saturday at UMASS-Amherst as the team won seven events and placed second in the morning show while being named the High Point team with 26 points in the afternoon show. The team returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 2 as the Western Squad will compete in another Double-Header this time at Mount Holyoke College. Morning show is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
  • Equestrian Signs Six National Letter of Intent's For First Time In Program History

    For the first time in Sacred Heart Equestrian program history, head coach Tiffany Hajdasz announced six signings of national letter of intent to join the program next year. This is the inaugural season of Equestrian accepting NLI’s.
  • Hunt Seat Named High Point Team In Home Show

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team was named the high point team this morning as the Hunt Seat earned 38 points in the teams home show. Senior Cariann Johnson was named the High Point Rider while sophomore Hailey Tyler was named the Team MVP. Johnson claimed first in the two events she participated in while Tyler placed first in Novice Fences Section B to help the team to another team victory. The team returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 17 when the Hunt Seats travels to face UCONN. Show-time is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
  • Hunt Seat Places Fourth At Trinity College Invite

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian Hunt Seat placed fourth in the Trinity Invite this morning. Performances by Michaela Fritsch and Emily Scrobe led the pair to qualify for Hunt Seat Regionals in Novice Fences and Walk Trot. Fritisch placed third in Novice Fences Section A while Scrobe placed second in today’s Walk Trot. The Hunt Seat will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 10 when they will compete at home. Show-time is set for 10:00 a.m.
  • Western Places Third at UCONN

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian Western squad concluded its show at the University of Connecticut tonight as the team placed third overall with a total of 23 points. The Western team will return to competition on Sunday, Nov. 18 when they travel to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for a Western-double header. Show begins at 9:00 a.m.
  • Hunt Seat Claims High Point Team With 43 Points at Home Show

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian Hunt Seat concluded its show at home this afternoon. The Pioneers were named the High Point team tallying a total of 43 points just one point ahead of Trinity. The team returns to action on November 4 when Hunt Seat will compete at Trinity while the Western squad will compete at UCONN.
  • Hunt Seat Places Sixth at Connecticut College

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian Hunt Seat competed at Connecticut College this afternoon. The team placed sixth overall while host Connecticut College won the overall event with 35 points while SHU scored 19 on the day. Lea Mascola placed first in the Show Class 13 Novice Fences Section C and Michaela Fritsch placed first in Show Class 19 Novice Flat Section C. The two had the best day for the Pioneers and Fritisch was named the team MVP for her impressive performance.
  • Equestrian Wins Seven Individual Events While Claiming High Point Team In Both Shows

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team wrapped up its first Western Doubleheader on Saturday as the team won seven events and was named the High Point team in both the morning and afternoon shows. The team returns to action tomorrow as they compete in the Hunt Seat at Trinity College.
  • Equestrian Claims Second Straight High Point Title While Six Pioneers Claim First In Individual Events

    The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team wrapped up its show at the Trinity College Hunt Seat this morning. The Pioneers swept two fences sections as the team won both the Show Open Fences sections and the Intermediate Fences section. The team returns to action on Saturday Oct. 20 when they compete in it's second Hunt Seat of the year this time at Connecticut College.
  • Equestrian Releases 2018-19 Fall Schedule

    The Sacred Heart equestrian team announced its 2018-2019 fall competition dates Monday morning. The Pioneers will host three competitions with it being the IHSA Western Double Header at 9:00 a.m. on October 13 and Hunt Seats on Novemeber 3 and 10.
