Shaun Ihasz Position: Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Experience: 2nd Year

With the kick-off the 2009-10 season Shaun Ihasz begins his second year at Sacred Heart and his first as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Ihasz was the Athletic Communication offices first ever graduate assistant in the 2008-09 season. He also served as an intern in his first season at Sacred Heart, 2007-08. Ihasz will be the primary contact for men's ice hockey, men's and women's soccer, rowing, cheerleading, and softball.

Ihasz is a 2008 graduate of Sacred Heart University, majoring in sport management and business administration. Faculty members awarded him the gold medal of excellence in sport management. Ihasz was also a four-year member of the Sacred Heart men's bowling team, competing across the country for the Pioneers. He now competes in semi-professional tournaments in the New England area.

Ihasz provides color commentary on various SHU broadcasts on the Pioneer Radio Network. Ihasz is the oldest of nine children, originally from Long Island he now resides in Seymour, CT. He is currently pursuing his MBA in management at Sacred Heart.
