Julie Alexander is the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Training at Sacred Heart University where she has been employed for 15 years. Alexander has worked numerous sports while at the university, but has remained the Head Athletic Trainer for men’s ice hockey during her entire time with the university.

Alexander also serves as an adjunct faculty member and approved clinical instructor in the Athletic Training Education Program at Sacrd Heart University.  She served as a state leader with the Connecticut Athletic Trainers' Association for nearly a decade holding Secretary and Board of Director positions during that time.  Prior to working at Sacred Heart University, she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Saint Bonaventure University for two seasons.

Alexander received her undergraduate degree in psychology/athletic training from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1990 and a graduate degree in athletic training from Old Dominion University in 1993. She has been certified as an athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 1993 and has been certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 1998.

She resides in Prospect, Connecticut with her husband Kyle and son Blake, 7.
