The Sacred Heart University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce a two-year partnership with Turfer Athletic of East Providence, Rhode Island. The multi-year agreement will enhance and expand the athletic branding initiative and official athletic licensing program for the Pioneers. "We are very pleased to enter into this partnership with a company that has the reputation for product quality and customer service that Turfer Athletic does", stated Mark Adzigian, Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.

Key elements of the agreement include a separate Sacred Heart University-branded "Wear Your Colors" website and dedicated toll-free "Wear Your Colors" phone line, both administered by Turfer Athletic, and unique sport-specific promotional flyers and programs that will cater to all 32 varsity athletics teams sponsored by the University. "It was very important to us that we increase our presence on the Internet and give our fans, students, parents and alumni a wider variety of high-quality apparel product offerings for all of our 32 teams than we were currently able to due to space constraints on campus. Pioneer fans can now order officially licensed gear and apparel from two online stores--the official athletics website online store and now our branded Turfer Athletic website" said Adzigian. Fans will have the ability to select the sport-specific horizontal or vertical logo they would like on their apparel, something that also applies to fans of the cheerleading and dance teams, along with those of the pep band and marching band.

In addition to maintaining the branded "Wear Your Colors" website, Turfer will produce sport-specific promotional flyers that will be used for individual team fundraisers and to help brand each specific sport. This will increase name recognition for all Pioneer athletics teams and help reach out to former student-athletes and friends of the various Pioneer athletics programs.
