The Sacred Heart Department of Athletics announced on Monday the hiring of David Salomon as the Supervisor of Varsity Athletics Facilities Operations.
Salomon will administer the day-to-day operations of the on-campus athletic facilities for varsity sports, including the supervision of security, parking, and event personnel.
He recently served as the Athletic Facilities and Event Coordinator at Hofstra for four years beginning in March of 2013. Salomon was responsible for the oversight and maintenance of all indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, as well as the game day operations for all sports. He also coordinated all external operations, including the 2016 United States Presidential Debate.
Prior to Hofstra, Salomon was an Administrative Fellow at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for the 2012-13 academic year. He has also been the Athletic Facility Supervisor at Baruch College and a Facility Operations Intern at the Madison Square Garden Training Facility.
Salomon graduated from St. John's with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2008. He earned his Master's degree in public relations from Hofstra in 2016.
