Hannah Boyer was hired as an Assistant Women's Field Hockey Coach in 2014. Her main duties include coaching the Pioneers defense, assisting in player development, overseeing video analysis and exchange, as well as playing a role in recruiting and the day-to-day operations of the program. In her first full season as assistant, Sacred Heart finished the 2014 season at 9-9 overall and 3-2 in MAAC play. The nine wins were the most the program had since 2006, and the postseason appearance was the first for SHU since 2008
Boyer earned four varsity letters while playing field hockey at Indiana University, where she served as team captain her final two seasons with the program. Over the course of her career Boyer appeared in 71 games, starting each game in which she appeared. In both her junior and senior seasons, Boyer earned Second Team All-Big Ten Honors as a defender. Her senior season also saw her picking up NFCHA All-Region Second Team Honors. Following her senior year, she was presented the Spirit of Indiana Director’s Award, presented annually to two student-athletes that best represent The Spirit of Indiana.
Boyer earned NFHCA Academic Squad Honors four times with the Hoosiers. She graduated from Indiana with both her Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science and Masters in Public Health.
