Congrats on being named NSCRO's 2nd ranked school in the nation!
What’s rugby? What’s so great about it?
Rugby is a sport about challenging not only your body, but also your mind. It’s about determination, heart, and teamwork. It’s about getting up when you’re knocked down, and pushing yourself when you feel like you have nothing left. Rugby is more than just a game; it’s a lifestyle. We grow together as a team and as people on and off the field. It’s a great way to make friends and relieve your stress from school.
Rugby is a full contact sport; from scrums to tackling, there’s never a dull moment on the pitch. Don’t worry, no experience is needed and the girls on our team contribute their own strengths from previously played sports- that’s what makes us the talented team that we are.
We play both fall and spring seasons, practicing Tuesday through Friday and normally playing games on Sundays. Our fall season consists of league games and playoffs, while in the spring we participate in tournaments such as Beast of the East and play “friendly” games against challenging teams.
The Queens of Heart are just gettign out of another exceptional Fall Rugby Season. Once again making it to the playoffs. Last Spring the Queens won The Plate at Beast of the East Rugby Tournament, one of the largest collegiate rugby tournaments in the nation. The Queens had a final rank of 3rd out of 23 teams. The team continues to work toward another successful season and to uphold the high standards that they have achieved.
If you’re interested in joining our team, feel free to contact us or come to a practice! Can’t wait to see you there!
