Club Field Hockey

Women's Field Hockey

The Club Field Hockey team was established nine years ago in 2005. We’ve come a long way since that first season. This past season we achieved our greatest success as a club by finishing at an even .500 with a record of 4-4. This season was also a success for fundraising and with that money we hope to attend a tournament for the first time in the spring semester.

As a club sport, we have practices and games.  We are not as demanding as a varsity team, but hold reasonable expectations of our members. We compete against colleges in the northeast including Yale, Boston University, Boston College, UConn, URI, and Northeastern.

We hold team dinners, and participate in campus events by fulfilling our community service, spirit, fundraising, and campus wide events.  This past season we helped collect food for the Thanksgiving Food Drive in Bridgeport. Currently we are made up of about 20 members with an even amount representing each class. The club has an executive board of 7 members:

 President: Emily Denmark

Vice President: Mary Nealon

 Secretary: Kayleigh Flanigan

 Treasurer: Amanda Frankie

 Fundraising Chair: Nicole Misinkinski

 Volunteer Chair: Leah Ferriby

 Social Chair: Nicole Croteau

Members are encouraged to participate and get involved as much as possible with planning and executing events.

Over the past five years this club has seen some awesome and exciting changes, and only looks better for the future. We’ve come together as a team and it truly shows on the field.  We look forward to our upcoming season and hope that it will be an even greater success than this past one.
